hair color

I am currently transitioning from relaxed to natural. Unfortunately, grey is coming in with the new growth. Would it be safe enough to use as far as the line of demarcation is concerned.

Hi Pat,
Thank you for contacting SheaMoisture. Our products are formulated with natural and certified organic ingredients to provide a safer method for coloring hair. Due to varying hair types, results may differ from person to person. The Hair Color System should be safe for your hair but we recommend consulting your physician or local hair dresser for further information on what type of ingredients in Hair Color Systems you can or cannot use.
Thank you again for reaching out to us. If there is anything else we can assist you with, please let us know.
Best regards,

I am planning to color my hair.
My hair color is dark brown to black, but I do have a a lot of gray hair that needs to be covered.
I purchased that chestnut brown and dark auburn, haven't decided which to use.
Also I am transitioning from relaxed to natural hair.
I am thinking now maybe I should use dark brown.
Any suggestions.

Hi Ruth,
Thank you for contacting SheaMoisture. When coloring hair with an original hair color of dark brown or black, the user may need to lighten their hair first to see any results as dark hair may not show any results. The color to choose will depend on what you prefer. You can go with the Chestnut Brown or Dark Auburn if you want a lighter color or go with the Dark Brown if you want a darker shade. Either color will help color gray hair but be advised results will vary from person to person due to how well their hair takes in the color. We recommend consulting a local stylist or hair dresser first to see if your gray hair needs something to ensure they absorb color.
Thank you again for reaching out to us! If you have any other questions, please let us know.
Best regards,
