Will the high porosity products actually fix my porosity? or will it just help my hair look more healthy?
I recently dyed my hair, bleached it first, and then dyed it a silvery blue..but sadly most of my hair did not hold the color because of my high porosity. Only one part of my hair did, so I have different porosity through out my hair, but most is high porosity. I do not use hot tools in my hair, nor do I use any styling tools other than anti frizz leave in conditioner and an anti frizz elixir with argan oil.
I really wanna put color back in my hair, but not if its just ganna rinse out in the next shower. So will this actually heal my hair and make the porosity leavels normal or low?
Thank you for contacting SheaMoisture. The porosity products are formulated to help moisturize and nourish the hair of that specific hair type. It doesn’t fix porosity, it uses a specific formula to ensure either moisture penetration or retention. With high porosity hair, the Mongongo & Hemp Seed Oils High Porosity collection will help lock in and seal that moisture but will not change the cuticles of the hair strands. We definitely recommend our High Porosity collection for color treated hair but be advised, that with any product, results will vary from person to person. We recommend using a masque afterwards to help seal in those nutrients.
