problem skin moisturizer

Darby May 15, 2018 10:19PM EDT

I used the problem skin moisturizer and absolutely loved it! After I ran out, I went to multiple stores to find it but could only find the balancing moisturizer. I assumed the packaging just got changed up a bit because the descriptions of the two moisturizers were very similar. However, I feel like the balancing moisturizer doesn't even compare to the problem skin moisturizer. I went online to order some from this website and when I click on the problem skin moisturizer to buy it, it brings me to the balancing moisturizer. Did sheamoisture stop carrying the problem skin moisturizer?
Thanks!

Hi Darby,
Thank you for contacting SheaMoisture. We have updated the name of the African Black Soap Problem Skin Moisturizer to African Black Soap Balancing Moisturizer. We are updating our site with all our name changes to select products and will be updated soon. We do update products periodically to address consumer feedback and adjust for supply constraints on ingredients but the product will still provide the same functions as before.
Thank you again for reaching out to us. If you have any other questions, please let us know.
Best regards,

The Balancing Moisturizer is nowhere near as effective a product as the Problem Skin Moisturizer! Not. Even. Close. Time to find a different product line.

I'm in the same situation. The "problem skin moisturizer" was the best moisturizer I've ever used and I can't find it anywhere now.

The "balancing moisturizer" does not compare in quality. This was more than a packaging change. The first ingredients on the list for the "problem skin moisturizer" are water, shea butter, vegetable emulsifying wax, and jojoba oil but the first ingredients for "balancing moisturizer" are aloe, water, a coconut oil derivative, and Glyceryl Stearate. The texture is very different and a jar of the "balancing moisturizer" did not last me half as long as a jar of the "problem skin moisturizer". I hope SheaMoisture brings back this product at some point.
